Bibra Lake Reserve is located in the southern suburb of Bibra Lake (City of Cockburn). It is among one of the four lakes, located just few metres apart, which forms part of the Beeliar Regional Park.We came across this lake quite recently, while looking for a close place with nice walking and bicycle paths. This place turned out to be a perfect spot, also providing bbq facilities, playgrounds, toilets and plenty of parking spots.
The lake is huge and the view is superb. You will come across some wetlands and some birds- swans, seagulls and ducks. If you are lucky, you could spot a bandicoot, like we did. We took about one and a half hour to do a complete circle of the lake by walk. So I would say that the path is around 5kms long. It is a fairly easy and peaceful walk and you do not any need special equipment- a good pair of shoes and a bottle of water will do.
Besides, if you are a keen walker or bicycle rider, then you could easily go around all the four lakes (see map below). I have personally not done it, but I assume it should be fun, with different places to visit and views.
